Hi, I’m Kejal
I started KleanSlate because every piece begins the same way — a blank sheet, and a quiet hour to fill it.
I work in charcoal, soft pastel, acrylic and mixed media, and I’m always happy to try another medium if your piece calls for it. I love portraits most of all: the moment a likeness appears out of smudges still surprises me.
What I work with
These are my favourites, and I’m always happy to try another medium if your piece calls for it.
Charcoal
Soft, smudgy and dramatic. I build up the darks with my fingers and lift the light back out with an eraser.
Soft pastel
Pure powdery colour, pressed into textured paper layer by layer. Perfect for skies, skin and fur.
Acrylic
For when a piece wants bold, lasting colour: on canvas, paper and even journals.
Mixed media
Paint, pastel, ink and paper together, when a piece needs a bit of everything.
